Moderate Ice Climbing, WI3 to 4(5?) for Weekday (Ice) Climbers
- Thursday: Lv. church/St. Davids 6am, climb Rambles WI3-4,
- Overnight in Lillooet, Mile-O Motel ~ $79+tx. for 2-4pers. in room/2 queen beds/ bring sleeping bag for privacy :-) Dinner in town.
- Friday: Make breakfast/ hot-water-maker in room, Climb Marble Canyon WI4 (5?) - drive back to Vancouver- arrive at church/Taylorway around 10? pm.
- Prerequisite: 1. Outdoor Lead Belayer ---- 2. Some experience on Water Fall-Ice -----(Alternatively you must be a solid rock climber leading 5.9/10 solidly, I am ready to show you, how to ice climb) ----- 3. Gear: Rope, preferably "DRY", Ice Crampons for Water-Ice (NO Aluminium - they break), STIFF (3 or 4 seasons) Mountaineering boots is a MUST, Helmet, 1 to 3+ Ice screws, anchor gear, 4-5 quick draws, I can bring additional 2 ice tools... - We might drive about 600 km total
- I am generally looking for Ice Climbing Partners, who usually can climb 2 consecutive days during the week MO to FRI.
- Once you signed up here/below, I will send you a Google Doc sheet, which you have to fill in please - with all your back ground information (climbing, gear, transportation etc.)
