Mount Outram is a straightforward but somewhat strenuous day-hike near the very western edge of Manning Park. The elevation gain will be close to 1,800 metres over nine kilometres. A two-wheel drive car is sufficient to reach the trailhead. I do not have a car, but I should be able to rent or borrow one if nobody else has one either.
Basic hiking gear (boots and the ten essentials) is required. I will be bringing three litres of water, as I have not done this trail before and do not know where the water sources on the trail will be. Please download a map of the trail and area to your GPS prior to the start of the trip. Climbing gear will not be necessary.

You can also find a description of the route on p. 290 of Matt Gunn's Scrambles in Southwestern BC.
Recommended: poles, spare shoes and socks for the car.
Approximate driving distance (round-trip): 350 km
