I have wanted to do Cypress Peak and Brandywine Mountain for some time, they both sound like fantastic scrambles.
The decision on which to do will hinge on (1) weather, and (2) the opinion of the participants. A bluebird day will likely be Cypress Peak, and iffy weather will be Brandywine. Demonic weather (2mm+, thunderstorms) will result in something low-key. Be ready for negotiating!
Participants are expected to be self sufficient and familiar with scrambling. Helmet is a must (with Cypress, not so with Brandywine). Microspikes are a good idea. A mountaineering axe might be wise: this will be discussed in the forum.10 essentials, etc. A rope will likely be included on Cypress, not so on Brandywine.
Interested parties are advised to check out one of many descriptions of the scramble. The speed of this trip will be moderate, as I am not a very fast climber. If you are also slow and steady, feel free to join!
I can take 4 people in my vehicle, so the inclusion of more participants requires another 4X4.
