A week of backpacking and scrambling beginning up the beautiful Paradise Creek Drainage in the South Chilcotin, following hiking trails and scrambling routes through beautiful meadows, accessible peaks, scattered fossils.
The general idea would be to head in the direction of the Dil-dil plateau and Mount Vic (3004m). Mt Cunningham, Relay Mountain, Castle Peak and Cardtable Mountain are all in the area. The area is described in Southern Chilcotin Mountains Guidebook.
There is considerable flexibility over what routes we take and I welcome input into route selection (I did a trip in the area over a decade ago). Some finetuning may be needed before departure as BC Parks states that they are undertaking maintenance this summer involving considerable helicopter use.
The backup access route will be via Tyaughton Creek, which can be used to connect into the same area.
