Start in Callaghan Valley to avoid the crowds. Stop at Hanging Lake for a swim. Get to glacier and possibly summit if enough time and good conditions. Bring full crampons and ice axe. Distance about 25km. Elevation gain about 1,500m. Alternatively we can do Sigurd Peak if you have a 4WD. Shorter distance about 12km return but more elevation gain almost 2,000m.
