The trail follows the first (or last) day of the Stein Valley traverse.  We start near the shores of Lillooet Lake and follow 10 km of abandoned logging road to Lizzie Lake and then 5 km of trail up to the alpine.  The total elevation gain is about 1500 m.  Once in the alpine we will set up camp and explore the peaks, passes and lakes in this wonderful alpine plateau.  There is a small rustic shelter near by if the weather is poor.  The road to the parking lot is mostly paved with about 15 km of well graded gravel.  It is 2wd accessible.  This will be a moderately fast paced trip, but there is lots of opportunity to explore at your own pace.
