A good trail runs up to the alpine on Mt. Currie and then its a scramble over snow and scree to the top. Great view and a good trail. The elevation gain is about 2300m and plan on a 10 to 12 hour day if you go to the top. We plan on taking a chainsaw to cut some of the deadfall on the way up. An ice axe and ski poles are a good idea. The final 300 m is on a 30 degree snow slope to the summit. A good bum slide on the way down, but you should have an ice axe. Bring the ten essentials and make sure your head light works. The turn off for the trail is half way between Whistler and Pemberton at the dirt bike track on the North side of the hwy.
