The south face of Baker is a great ski run. Not as steep as the Roman Wall on the Coleman-Demming approach. This trip is for experienced touring enthusiasts who can keep a moderate and steady pace for a full day. This is a ski mountaineering trip with glacier travel. You will need the appropriate equipment, skills and experience. We will leave Vancouver Saturday afternoon. You can get parking permits on line before the trip (see planning forum). There will be time to grab dinner and any needed supplies in Sedro-Wooley. Park at trail head for sleep. Wake early enough to be on the trail at 5 am sharp. Anticipate 12 hours to summit and return to trail head. 24 km round trip. This trip is weather dependent.
