To spite the rain, I propose a very nice hike in West Vancouver. West Knob via Whyte Lake is a great shoulder season saunter through some beautiful terrain.
This trip is open to all fitness levels, as I am not typically a fast walker, and prefer to stop and enjoy the view from time to time.
I have not done the full hike to West Knob before, but there are many resources on the hiking trail (105 Hikes, https://www.trailpeak.com/index.jsp?con=trail&val=12926). Please review before considering this hike.
The number of participants is contingent on another vehicle owner participating, as I can only take three other people.
It is your responsibility to bring the 10 essentials, with emphasis on warm and dry - we will go if it is raining. Strongly advise bringing waterproof hiking boots, but I won't enforce this. Definitely bring a rain jacket and something warm for the head. Microspikes and poles are likely a good idea, as the possibility of running into ice high up are there. And don`t forget a headlamp!
