Ski to Watersprite Lake along the winter route. Assess avalanche conditions before starting up Crawford W2 (note: also known as Dreadnought on Bivouac.com). If avalanche conditions are unfavorable, we could head over to Crawford Peak or ski a slope above Watersprite Lake. My preference is either Crawford W2 or Crawford Peak.
Crawford W2 is a moderate day (grade B3). Crawford Peak would be a longer day (grade C3). You will need to be physically fit. A headlamp is required. Ice axe optional. Ski crampons optional.
