Trip Description:
An easy to moderately paced loop of lower Mount Fromme in North Vancouver. Get out with us for a hike after the big rains. This might be a good time to test out how waterproof your gear is, or train with more weight in your pack.
During the hike we will be discussing the potential hazards from trees, landslides, riverbanks and debris chutes.
-
We will be hiking several trails including Varley and Baden-Powell, and then returning via the Dempsey Connector.
Along the way we will check out the flow and hazards near Lynn Creek and Kilmer Creek.
-
Expected distance ~10km. Expected time ~2.5 to ~3.5 hours. Partnering and regrouping along the way.
Easy options to bail out early along the way in case of hazards, or if someone needs to leave early.
