This trip is exploratory in nature. We will drive the Mamquam FSR to KM 21. We may have to park there. The road may be plowed a short distance up towards the trailhead due to new logging. We will assess the condition of travel as reports from summer and fall indicate the road is overgrown. However, on a trip to Martin Peak last week, there seemed to be continuous snow cover on sections of the road that were visible. If travel is too much then we can return and ski up Martin Peak from the Watersprite winter route.

We will have to monitor the avalanche conditions carefully as the weather forecast is for a warming trend beginning on the weekend. There may be an adjustment in the route, as a result but the the trip will remain in the general area.
