We will meet at the BC parks sign located in the cross country ski area at Cypress for 8:30 a.m.

The hike is rated intermediate however, please be sure you are fit enough as there is a lot of up and down and the last section to the top is quite steep. Two diversions have been created close to the top which has made it easier when climbing the peak so we make take one of those.

The trail is quite busy but please bring the 10 essentials, water, extra warm clothing, poles if you use them, and please come prepared wearing proper winter hiking attire and bring a light lunch. We may stop at the little cafe in the cross country ski area after the hike for a snack.

Difficulty- Intermediate

Time - 3.5 - 4 hours depending on how long we spend at the top and the pace of the group.

Pace - We will be hiking at a moderate pace

Elevation Gain - 450 meters

Please note the hike will be postponed in the event of extreme weather/avalanches etc. The trail is quite packed down and generally pretty safe. I believe the worst section is on the other side of the mountain in the gulley area. I will update on the weather about two days beforehand. 

Please state in the forum section if you can drive or you need a ride. Snow tires are required on the road up to the mountain. I don't have a car so if I can meet someone close to a Skytrain station that would be appreciated.
