Aiming for Winchester Mountain but depending on the road, weather forecast, avalanche conditions and snow situation the destination could be altered at the last minute or on the drive up. The road may be snowed in so we may have to ski right from the Mount Baker Highway. That would make it about 11 km distance and 1500 meters of elevation gain. Most of it is an approach on a gently rising logging road. The pace will be moderate. It is not a race to the summit.

For experienced backcountry skiers in good condition. Out of province medical insurance recommended. Travel to U.S.A. requires passport or EDL. No pot, fresh fruit, veggies, meat or alcohol, please. Beacon, shovel required.

The meeting spot in Vancouver is the intersection of North Grandview Hwy and Penticton Street in East Van at 6:00 AM. If there's people coming from Coquitlam, we'll meet them at Crash Crawley's rock gym, 1300 Woolridge Street in Coquitlam at 6:30 AM.
