We'll drive up Furry Creek Main until we get stopped by snow. I have a key to the gate. Approach the summit from Downing Creek road. The road is in good shape for a couple of kilometers. After that, we cross the creek at a log jam, bushwhack a short distance to the opposite road thence to the summit.
Beacon, shovel, probe, headlamp required. The trip requires strong intermediate skiing skill at a minimum and the ability to keep up with the group. Despite that, we will travel at a moderate pace.
We'll carpool from St David's Church in West Van at Taylor Way and the Upper Levels highway. Meet in the church parking lot. Furry Main is in good shape but some light snow may be encountered from the cold front on Sunday. 4WD vehicles with snow tires will be necessary to transport the crew. Bring up to $15 in cash to compensate drivers. No e-transfers, please.
