Trip Description

For more details, see trip reports from Bivouac.com https://bivouac.com/TripPg.asp?TripId=6934 and VOC https://www.ubc-voc.com/wiki/Puma_Peak

The trip is approximately 15km return and 1070 meters in elevation gain. We will be briefly using Whistler Olympic Park cross country trails to access our route. Our route will head up the Beverly Creek drainage to Key lake and then swing NW to access the ramps.

I was up there on 1 January 2019. The snowpack was low. This would be a very enjoyable trip with a larger snowpack in order to enjoy the ramps. I may change the location of the trip if the snowpack level doesn't improve.

Gear required: (1) Avalanche gear (shovel, probe and transceiver); headlamp suitable for skiing in the dark; spare batteries; 10 essentials (https://www.northshorerescue.com/education/what-to-bring/)

Please ensure your contact information and your emergency contact information is up to date

Driving distance from St David's Church to Alexander Falls return is 200 km. Please allow for approximately 15-20$ to pay your driver.
