**COURSE FULL**

If you are an intermediate skier who can ski 'blue' (intermediate) runs in bounds and want to try backcountry skiing, this trip is for you!

Course fee $30

• How to dress to stay comfortable

• Skin up technique

• Decision making and group dynamics

• Staying found and sound

• Answers to any other questions that you may have

Participants must also attend pre-trip information session at Arc'teryx Vancouver, 813 Burrard Street on January 9 at 7:00pm

• Go to the ski hill at least once before the course so it is not your first time on skis this season!

• It should be a full day and we will return to the city late Saturday evening.

• The dates and instructors are subject to change as we get closer to the course date

• This is not an avalanche course and no previous avalanche training is required; your next step is to take the Avalanche Skills Training course (AST 1)

• If you are renting equipment, be sure to book your gear prior to paying for the course

On-line Registration process

1. When you are logged into the website, click on “Join this trip”

2. Your name is automatically placed on the Request List

3. You will receive an email notification when the organizer approves your registration and your name is placed on the Waiting List

4. Click on the “Pay Now” button which should now be visible on the course description page (you must be logged in)

5. When your payment has been received, your name will be placed on the Confirmed List and a confirmation email will be sent

6. Add your name to the Pre-trip Information Session
