Pickup possible from Kootenay Loop, Joyce-Colllingwood Station, or St. David's United. Exact time TB
We will hike up Mount Troubridge on the Sunshine Coast, from the Saltery Bay ferry, and sleep at the Mount Tourbridge cabin overnight.
The main gear required would be : microspikes, snowshoes, sleeping bag and sleeping mat, as well as warm clothes. I've got stove, cookware and whatnot. MEC is closed on Tuesday, so you'd have to rent whatever gear you need tomorrow (December 24th)!
There's a slight chance we'd do part of the hike in the dark, so a headlamp is also a must.
The hike is 12km one way, with 1300m elevation gain. Given the ferries and all, we'd have to hike relatively fast to get to the cabin.
If a participant has a car with four-wheel-drive, we could skip 4km and ~600m elevation gain by driving up to the Rainy Day Lake area. My car unfortunately won't make it there.
