Beyond Hope

Ice Climbing east of Hope, BC

We are putting together a small group of 4-6 people to recon an area that is new for us. 

Area subject to change depending on last minute conditions.

Approach is possibly short depending on how far we can drive up the 4x4 access road.

Access to the ice might be difficult and could involve some route-finding with possible bushwhack.

Early season conditions are expected to be thin.

Bring your own ten essentials.

Gear:  Headlamp! Helmet, Harness and Belay Device. Goggles or protective glasses. Rigid boots and steel crampons. Technical Ice Tools.

Waterproof jacket and pants, gaiters, extra pairs of climbing gloves. Extra warm belay jacket.

We will need enough ropes, ice screws, and climbing gear for the group.

Organizers will bring their own 10 Essentials including GPS, Personal Locator Beacon; Camera; First aid kit.
