Chevron gas station at 3030 Boundary Rd. at 6:00 am on Sunday.
A good trail leads from the valley near Glacier Washington up into the alpine with great views of Mt. Baker. We will likely hit snow about half way up. Probably not enough for snow shoes, but micro spikes and ski poles would be handy. The peak is a scramble which may not be in condition to climb with the new snow, but we can enjoy the exercise and the great weather forecast. We meet at six am at the Chevron on Boundary. The days are short so make sure you bring a head lamp and batteries, along with warm cloths and rain gear. We do intend to turn around in time to make it off the hill before dark. I have not done this hike before, but understand it offers great views. It is about four hours of fast walking to the top.
