Have you taken a rock rescue clinic in the past year or two and want to dust off those cobwebs before winter sets in? This event is for you.
We'll spend a couple of hours in the morning practicing escaping the belay, load transfers, munter mules, and other rock rescue techniques - techniques you already know but maybe just need to practice. I am not an instructor nor will anything be taught - this is strictly for practice.
Then if the rock is dry enough and the weather cooperates we'll crag a bit in the afternoon. And if people are up for it we can grab a beer or a flight at a local brewery once it starts to get dark at some ridiculously early hour. Anyone driving will be encouraged to consume responsibly.
GEAR: Everything you would need for a day of cragging, plus whatever rock rescue kit you have. Helmets are very strongly encouraged. Dress for the weather.
Meet at St David's Church at 8:40am, Depart at 9am sharp. Likely go to Zombie Roof area in the Smoke Bluffs.
