All participants must be able to lead belay and have their own personal equipment.

Bring along a fun, safe and supportive climbing attitude. We will climb in the smoke bluffs and go do dingle pitch trad routes (5.7-5.10). No specific area in mind yet, but would like to stick to the bluffs. We will leave at 5 pm latest so that turkey dinner can be enjoyed with family and friends.

Meet in Vancouver at St David's church at 8:30 am,, and at Smoke Bluffs parking lot for 9:30 am (we can organize carpooling in the planning forum). We will need someone with at least one car for each group of 4 that signs up to go.

I have a rope and rack, but it would be great to have 3 or 4 ropes, and enough gear to lead another 2 routes (depending on how many people sign up).

Cancellation due to Weather: If PoP for Squamish on Environment Canada's website (https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/bc-50_metric_e.html) remains over 50% with more than 2 mm on Sunday morning, the trip might be cancelled.

While I'm sure the more experienced climbers will be happy to share their knowledge, this is not a climbing course. Every participant must be able to lead belay and is expected to have some top roping experience (indoors or outdoors). We will find an area with a variety of grades.

All participants must bring their personal climbing gear (helmet, harness, belay device, locking biner, climbing shoes). It will be cold as it forecast for cloudy weather, so dress for the weather!
