The mount Outram trail climbs 1800 m in 9 km near the West entrance to Manning Park.  It follows a good trail to the alpine and then a bit of scree to the summit.  It makes for a full day (2 Grouse Grinds up and down) to a fabulous view point.  The trail is dog friendly.  This will be a moderately fast paced trip of about 8 hours for those going to the summit.  As we return on the same trail, there are lots of options for those who are happy just to get to the alpine, or those working on their fall fitness.  Please bring clothing for a potentially cold wet day.  It could snow at the top.  You must have headlights with spare batteries.
