***You must be able to and have experience leading sport routes outside or inside as we will not be covering this.***

Required Equipment:
-Climber's harness,

-Rock climbing shoes,

-Helmet

-ATC belay device (plus biner),

-nut tool (plus biner),

-prussik (plus biner) (no figure 8s or Grigri for belaying).

-A PAS (personal anchor system). A 120cm sewn sling will suffice, unless you have a pre-rigged setup.

-Personal lunch, water, suitable clothing and sunscreen for both days.

*** Those who have a 60m "single" (>9.5mm or thicker) climbing rope, trad gear, top rope, draws and coffee makers please indicate in the participant questions when signing up

Payment Information:

The fee for the course is $20. Participants will be required to cover any costs for their own gear and cover their own transportation costs. There are three steps to registering for this course:

1. Click on "Join this Trip" on the left hand side of the page. You will be added to the Request List. You will be prompted to answer the Trip Planning Questions. Please answer fully. Once the course organizer(s) have reviewed your answers, you will be moved to the Waiting List. An email will be sent to you letting you know you're on the waitlist (be sure to check your spam just in case!)
2. Once on the Waiting List, a Paypal button should appear on the left side of the page (contact courses@bcmc.ca if you have trouble paying). Click this button and follow the prompts to complete your payment.
3. After payment has been received, you will be moved to the Confirmed List and another email notification will be sent out.

Watch your email for more details from the organizer(s) about carpooling, meetup times, updates etc. - and have fun!

Other Important Details:

Location/Transportation: Squamish smoke bluffs - New crag by the parking lot. Please use the forum to arrange for carpooling on your own.

Emergency Contact: IMPORTANT: Please make sure your emergency contact information is up to date. To do this, click "My Account" in the top right corner of this screen, then select "Edit Emergency Contact" under "Manage My Account" on the left hand side. You will NOT be approved for this course if your contact info is incomplete.

Waiver and Medical: Every participant must have read and agree to ("signed") the club's online Waiver. In addition, those with potential medical issues, that might affect their course participation, need to contact the course organizer ASAP after registering for this course.

Changes - Cancellations: This course is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in case of suspected poor weather. Please review the BCMC Course Refund Policy for detailed information.
