This comprehensive 2-day glacier and rescue course is a gold standard of the industry for mountaineers and alpine climbers. Day 1 will focus on "dry land" rope skills including haul systems and ascending a rope, while Day 2 will be in the field on Whistler or Blackcomb (quick access to maximize learning time) where we put all the skills together in a real mountain environment. The curriculum has been customized just for BCMC members.

This course is taught by Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures by a professional ACMG certified guide. MSAA is offering a special price for BCMC members of $250 + GST (regular price for non-members: $399 + GST). You will also need to purchase a Whistler Blackcomb lift ticket for Day 2 if you do not have a season's pass. You can purchase a 1-day lift ticket here (purchase in advance for cheapest price, $58).
