Schedule:

Ideally one car will leave friday midday and arrive to the rangers office before they close to try to get a permit, and the second car will leave after people leave work for the day , we all meet and car camp to have an early start. If permits were not available Friday afternoon, we will have to get up early and queue before ranger office opens to secure a permit for Saturday.

Sat with the permits we go until  Camp Schurman or the flats immediately above to camp, next morning VERY early alpine start, summit, back to camp and to the car.

This is a very demanding schedule with a VEEERY long second day so hiking pace will be fast, the area is heavily crevassed so only for people with experience on this terrain and with the necessary crevasse rescue skills.

Everyone needs to research this route on their own and be familiar with the terrain and route as well as bring their own personal gear, group gear will be discussed on planning forum.
