Eldorado peak in a day (car camping Sat night).

Called the "Queen of the Cascade River" this mountain is in the middle of a collection of beautiful peaks.  The climb is not technically difficult but includes glacier travel and a knife-edge (about 60 cm/2 ft wide) low-angle snow arete near the summit.

Elevation 2704, 10 miles round trip, elevation gain – 6716 ft.

Required gear: ice axe, crampons, basic glacier gear (+ one picket per person).
