Top Rope, Sport and trad climbing in Squamish.

While I'm sure the more experienced climbers will be happy to share their knowledge, this is not a climbing course. Every participant must be able to belay and is expected to have some top roping experience (indoors or outdoors). We will find an area with a variety of grades that match the participants' preference. We will decide on the exact location at the Church

Meeting: 1:30 PM, parking lot of St. David's United Church at Taylor Way & Hwy 1

All participants must bring their personal climbing gear (harness, belay device, locking biner, climbing shoes) and a headlamp . Also highly recommended is a helmet, prussik for rappelling, water, snacks to share and swim wear, if you would like to go for a dip after the climb

Ropes & anchor material for this event are provided by participants and not by the club. If you have a full strength climbing rope and anchor material, please do bring it.

Cancellation due to Weather: If PoP for Squamish on Environment Canada's website (http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/bc-50_metric_e.html) remain over 40% in the morning, the trip is cancelled. As long as PoP is 40% or lower, the trip is on.
