This trip will travel on snow from the Shannon Creek logging routes to the ridge above the Stadium Glacier. Expect 40 deg snow to exit onto the ridge. Climbing the ridge requires exposed scrambling on rock to 5.4 along a well traveled route. There will probably be several moderate snow slopes to cross on route. All participants require adequate footwear for ascending on snow to 40 degrees and scrambling on rock. An ice axe, helmet, harness and descending device are required. I will carry a rope in order to rapel the pink slab section for those who are not comfortable descending unroped. Otherwise all travel will be unroped. We will meet at 9 am and try upload the Gondola by 9 30 am. First four confirmed participants can get a 20% discount on the Gonodala ticket. This trip is about 18 km return and a fairly hard physical day.
