Rock climbing at Murrin Provincial Park, Squamish.
This trip is for those who know how to at least top rope belay safely and have outdoor and/or indoor climbing experience. We'll need someone / some people who know how to lead belay to make the trip a go. We'll try to get a good ratio of ropes to climbers. We can set up top ropes. Note: This is not a course, but more experienced climbers can feel free to share their knowledge with others.
The objective is to climb at one or more crags of Murrin. We'll decide on the crag the morning of. Was planning on climbing 5.8ish to 5.10 with a focus on trad and climbing until the afternoon / early evening. Could potentially climb a bit of harder sport depending on the group.
Let's meet at St. David's Church at #1 Hwy and Taylor Way in West Van. to arrange carpools. Feel free to use the planning forum to arrange rides to St. David's. I'm in North Van, but could offer rides to St. David's from the Sea Bus or Park Royal, if needed.
Personal gear needed: Harness, belay device, shoes, helmet, chalk bag, water/lunch, sun protection.
Optional gear if you have it: Trad rack, rope, personal anchor system, top rope anchor, draws.
