I have a reservation for 4 climbers for two nights at Camp Muir or Ingraham Flats. The second night is optional. The plan is to get to Paradise before 10am on Saturday (reservation expires) hike/ski/post hole/grovel up to Camp Muir. We will be tenting, not using the hut. Decide between summiting the next day (strong experienced group) or taking an acclimatization day. Those with ski's could rip a couple laps on the Muir snowfield on the "rest day". We could also move camp up to the Ingraham flats to have a shorter summit day. Summit day is climbed on foot with most likely a 2am wake up alpine start. If the acclimatization day is used the plan is to summit and come all the way home on Monday. Expect a late return. I can take all 4 in my vehicle coming from Squamish.
Route involves high altitude, extensive glacier travel, possibly some scrambling on the cleaver.
Preference given to those with high altitude mountaineering experience or other similar volcano climbs like Adams, Baker, or Hood.
Each climber must pay a $48 USD Climbing Cost Recovery Fee BEFORE we go. https://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/climbing.htm#CP_JUMP_5469325Interested in joining this trip or others like it? Sign in or sign up to join!
