A mixed glacier and 4th class rock climb/scramble. It is a longer, more involved and advanced climb than the standard Sulphide Glacier route, and is a great introduction to intermediate level alpine climbing with reasonable technical difficulties. The climb initially involves easy rock climbing in a series of chimneys, then climbs a fun and short section of alpine ice, and continues over moderate glaciated terrain on parts of three different glacier systems. All routes on Shuksan culminate with the imposing 700 foot summit pyramid which is commonly climbed up a central snow and rock gully.

Our plan is to climb Fisher Chimneys on day one of our trip and camp at the high camp which sits at the base of Winnies slide. On our second day we navigate three different glaciers and will climb the summit pyramid through the central gully which is a 4^th class scramble for the most part.

You will need to be comfortable with a 40 degree running belay, exposed class four scrambles, belaying and rappelling.  This is not your first or second climb.  We need team members who can help with route finding and decision making.  Early start Saturday and alpine start for Summit Sunday.
