Climb Base5 is hosting a climb in the dark event for Earth Hour, from 8:30 to 9:30pm. So, make sure to bring your (charged) headlamps!
Let's meet a bit earlier to warm up on a few routes before the lights are turned off.

The gym will be turning off its lights in solidarity with the World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour campaign. So bring your headlamps and come climb in the dark on March 24th, 2018 from 830pm-930pm. We'll also have some games set up to pass the hour in case you want to socialize rather than climb. Follow us on Facebook for updates!
The meeting time is not fixed, in case you want to join a bit later. I'll aim to be in the gym, near the benches, at 7:00pm. If you don't know me, you can ask the gym staff to help find the BCMC group or you can contact me beforehand to figure something out. Do not send me a text message when you arrive. If you show up later, no worries, find us and join the group.
If you have not climbed at Climb Base5 gym before, you will need to pass a belay test and a lead climbing test in order to lead or lead belay. This is a requirement of the gym. While it is likely that the more experienced climbers will be happy to share their knowledge, this is not a climbing course.
