Backcountry skiing in the area around Mountain Lake

You need headlamp, spare batteries, skis, shovel, probe and beacon. In terms of skiing ability, you need to be competent skiing steep trees and steep alpine slopes.There may be some steep slopes to cross or to ski. There will be some tree skiing. There will be skiing on ungroomed roads that may involve some sidestepping and dodging obstacles such as trees, stumps and bent over small trees.
