Let's take advantage of the cold weather and low snow line, and ski Mount Harvey from Lions Bay.

Map. 8.4km and 1428m elevation gain to the summit. 

The parking lot is at 250m elevation, so we are likely to need to hike for a bit before putting skis on. Bring your hiking shoes or boots. 

This should not be your first backcountry ski trip, but fit skiers confident in their downhill ability who are newish to backcountry skiing are welcome. There will likely be some steeper skiing among trees with marginal snow conditions at lower elevations. 

Gear required: Avalanche gear (Transceiver, Probe, Shovel), AT, tele, or splitboard Equipment, headlamp.

Welcome additional gear: GPS, PLB, camera, first aid kit.

Recommended carpooling cost:  about $10 per passenger; please arrange with driver; bring funds.
