Ski up Mt. Sproatt via Rainbow Lake Trail. The forecast is for warm weather so we'll go early and try to get down before the snow is too rotten. The organizer has to be back in town for dinner, so we'll have a turnaround time of about 1pm. Decision to ascend/descend the main ridge directly or go around via Hanging Valley will be made based on conditions that we observe on the day of.
Most of the route is on moderate terrain but there are a few tight steep sections in the trees coming down. Must be able to ski black diamond gladed runs without difficulty to participate
Equipment: Helmet, Avi Beacon, Shovel, and Probe are mandatory, as is having taken AST-1 or equivalent. You must be competent at avi rescue techniques.
Please show up a little early. We will depart St. David's at 6:15am sharp.
