Please refer to page 122 of Baldwin's "Exploring the Coast Mountains on Skis" for details. This is a highly recommended route with good side trips and excellent skiing. There are two nights in the snow so strong winter camping skills are required. I will split the group into semi-autonomous pods of four to speed travel. The maximum number of participants is 12.
If the weather cooperates this will be a 3 day trip with great side trips. If socked in it could be a 2 day tour.
Day 1: Park and skin up to the col between Cassiope and Saxifrage. Dump the packs and ski down Cassiope. Skin back up the col and ski down to White Lakes (camp). Head back up Saxifrage and descend the east slope White Lakes for camping.
Day 2: Break camp and head up to the col between Oleg and Olds. Dump the packs and Ski Oleg, skin back to the col and ski down to the bottom of Olds, setting up camp on the Place Glacier.
Day 3: Pack up and ascend the shoulder of Cirque Peak, and head back to Duffy Lake Road. Dinner location TBD.
