The forecast looks promising for a weekend trip to Thar. I've never skied Thar before, but navigation looks relatively straightforward, however navigating the micro-terrain on the ascent sounds a little tricky. If conditions allow, I'd like to ski the north bowl from the Thar/Nak col, then climb back-up and skiing out on the south aspect.

Back-up objectives include the Flatiron or Iago if conditions on Thar are not suitable.

The trip may be pushed to Sunday if avalanche conditions and visibility look more stable than on Saturday. You should have your AST-1, and you'll need your beacon, shovel and probe.
