Bike ~6km along East Canyon trail (good condition old road), then leave bikes and follow trail to Hector Ferguson Lake (another 9 km or so).  Expect a fairly long day (11-13 hours) round trip, moving at a good pace.  Hector Ferguson Lake is one of the handful of 103 hikes I haven't yet done.

Note that there may be a wet foot crossing depending on water levels.  East Canyon trail is in good shape.  Unaware of the condition of the trail up to Hector Ferguson Lake.  May be bushy in places
