The plan is to:

A) Take Wizard gondola from the upper village and then Solar Coaster to Rendezvous Lodge, then hike up to Horstman Hut where the scramble along the ridge to Blackcomb Peak begins. See page 96 in the Scrambles book for detail. 

B) Upon returning to Horstman Hut, descend into the glacier by the T-bar (no crevasses) and practice glacier travel, t-slot anchors, belaying, basic rope skills, and crampon use on the snow and ice

Apologies for the last minute notice, however a planned trip just fell through. Note that a Whistler day pass is needed. You can buy online 2 days prior for a discount. The season pass is $80 discounted and worth it if you plan to return at least a second time
