I'm headed to Comox over the July long weekend and hoping to check out some of the crags on the island, notably the Comox/Cumberland Lake area and Horne Lake. This trip is to do some hard sport climbing at Horne Lake on Sunday; there is another trip for trad and sport climbing at Comox Lake on Saturday. If you're interested in both days, there's camping options available around the Comox Valley including the Comox Lake campground, Airforce Beach in Comox, Horne Lake provincial park, and Sproat Lake.

Most routes at Horne Lake are 5.10+ sport routes. You must have prior outdoor sport climbing experience, and it is recommended you have previously climbed at least 5.10c/d for this trip to be fun for you. My goals are only to redpoint some routes below the 5.11b/c grade and possibly find some harder projects.
