The Sulphide Glacier is the standard route up Shuksan. It requires glacier travel and has an exposed scramble near the summit.
Day 1: Cross border, check in at Marblemount ranger station, head to Shannon Ridge trailhead. Hike in and set up camp, observe and possibly wand beginning of route, eat, go to bed early.
Day 2: Alpine start, cross the glacier to the summit pyramid, scramble. Have a congratulatory snack, Rappel off the summit, take down camp, return to trailhead.
NOTE: we will be in Washington State for this trip and proper travel insurance is required to participate. Many members of the BCMC prefer BCAA Travel Insurance for their individual insurance coverage while mountaineering or climbing in the USA.
