This trip will begin at the "End of the Line General Store" at 5:30am on Lynn Valley Rd. The road to the regular parking lot is currently closed so it means an extra 2km walk in along the paved road to our start.
After a gear check and route overview we'll start our hike at 6am. We will do a speedy hike to Norvan falls after which point we'll turn right near the bridge and follow the Mountain Creek Trail towards Coliseum and Burwell. Note that the current snow line is at 1100m and we will be dealing with snow above that point. You MUST have an ice axe and crampons to participate and know how to self-arrest. This will be a long day covering over 20km in challenging forest-snow terrain requiring strong physical fitness. Given the weather we may encounter some white out conditions higher-up.
