Meet at St. David's at 6am, drive to Whistler Olympic park and approach Rainbow Mtn through Hanging lake. Get as far as the start of the glacier directly south of the summit and ski/snowboard down from there. Basically we'll follow the description of John Baldwin's approach via Hanging Lake. I expect to hit snow somewhere between Hanging lake and Rainbow lake.
Objective is not to summit, but to have some late season fun in the snow.
The trip will take place only if forecast/conditions are favorable. Terrain selection will be conservative.
Note I haven't been to the area, but have conducted my research. I expect participants to be familiar with the area and/or conduct their own research.
Total distance: ~15km
