Trip Description

BC AdventureSmart is excited to be presenting the ’Survive Outside Program’ at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) on June 15, 2017.

If you live in the Lower Mainland, love to hike, mountain bike, climb, camp or spend time in the mountains, then this FREE workshop is for you!

There will be members from the BC AdventureSmart Team onsite sharing lifesaving outdoor safety information, tips, resources and local search and rescue (SAR) volunteers to answer your questions about outdoor preparedness and SAR in BC.
 
We will also have an outdoor specialist, from Survival in Canada, on site to asnwer questions about outdoor survival techniques such as basic shelter building, fire making, hazard assessment, essentials knots, map and compass and signalling for rescue.
