We will ski into the Tenquille Lake cabin from Br. 12 on the Hurley FSR, just over the bridge a few km below the top of the big hill out of Pemberton.  Currently the road is plowed to this point.  The trail is about 9 km long with an elevation gain of 500 m.   The cabin holds up to twenty and is well stocked with cooking equipment and mattresses as well as two double burner propane stoves that take the big green canisters.  There is a well defined trail into the cabin which should be easy to skin on, or snow shoe.  Snow would be too deep for hiking at this time of the year. (still 3m +) As this is a public cabin, there may be others at the cabin, hence the early start.  Participants should be able to negotiate soft spring snow and get in and out of gullies in the forest on skis or snow shoes, as well as manage steep open frozen slopes in the mornings.  There is no glacier travel, but an ice axe is required, and ski crampons could be helpful.  The object is to explore the area and get good turns on corn snow.  Spit boarders and snow shoers are welcome, but skis would be best for this trip.  As we are returning to the cabin at the end of the day, we can accommodate multiple objectives and spit up into smaller groupings.  The road is two wheel drive gravel for about 15 km after driving up the Lillooet Valley from Pemberton (about 50 km).
