Be sure to bring your headlamp and some spare batteries! If there's fresh snow we'll use snowshoes, otherwise microspikes.
We did this trip regularly last winter and it was a lot of fun and a great workout. This event is cross posted with the BCOA meetup group.
I plan for this to take us two to two and a half hours, perhaps a bit longer. I have included the hike description below. We may or may not go all the way to the summit, depending on the conditions and the group. Hopefully it will be a clear night and we will get some great views of the city lights.

Hollyburn Mountain (Winter Route)
An extremely popular snowshoe route to the summit of Hollyburn Mountain.

Directions
From the city of Vancouver, cross either the Lions Gate Bridge or the Ironworker's Memorial (Second Narrows) Bridge. Follow Highway #1/#99 west to exit #8, signed as "Cypress". Follow Cypress Bowl Road north as it winds it's way up the mountain to the ski hill area. Turn right after entering the ski hill area and follow signs for the cross-country ski and toboggan (sledding) area. Parking is free during the winter months.
