The objective is to ski laps off of Iago Peak. Depending on conditions, Zupjok may be the alternative. I'm new to BC and am not really familiar with the area. The route looks relatively straight forward, but you should be comfortable with winter, backcountry navigation. There may be some bush whacking and route finding involved.
Avalanche safety and awareness training is mandatory (e.g. AST-1, AIARE Level 1) as are beacon, shovel and probe. You don't have to be the greatest skier, but the backcountry is not the place to learn to ski.
Trip will be rescheduled if avalache forecast is high or extreme or if weather is really poor.
