This training session is a nice compliment to the AST-1; however, previous training or practice is not a requirement.

Gear
* NOTE: Tupperware/rubbermaid containers will crack/break in the cold; a hard probe strike or shovel strike will break your transceiver. Solutions: a small piece of thin plywood to put over the transceiver; I have a pelican case I use for mine. A metal cookie tin is not suitable (Faraday Cage) but the lid or shovel blade over top is fine.

Emergency Info
Please make sure your Emergency Contact info has been added to your web-account profile. You can do this by logging into the bcmc.ca website, then click on: My Account > Edit Profile Information > Private Info and add your Emergency Name and Phone Number info. Please re-enter your current password to complete the process. Your emergency contact info is stored *privately* and only made available to those organizing events that *you* choose to attend.
