A WEEK IN A TENT AND OTHER MOUNTAINEERING
TALES FROM AROUND NORTH AMERICA
- by Drew Copeland
Drew likes to get out there! Having found his way into the hills when Drew was but a tot, he hasn’t yet found a way to shake their grasp. Neither the strongest climber on the wall nor the hottest skier on the slopes, yet he has many mountain stories to share with us. Last spring he skied Alaska’s Chugach Range and it stormed heavily — so instead of flowing powder turns, the team shovelled and spent a week cowering in their tents. It was grim yet weirdly fun in a retrospective kind of way! Come out to the ANZA Club on Tuesday January 10th, and join other local mountaineers, to hear more about Drew's adventures.
The Social Presentation will take place at the Vancouver ANZA Club main floor (corner of 8th Ave and Ontario) on Tuesday, February 10th. The entrance door will open shortly after 7pm and the BCMC Social event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM. Please note: you must be 19+ years old to attend and may be asked to sign-in at the door to ensure we don't exceed 135 people in the hall. Feel free to grab a drink downstairs before the social starts.
